same venue. Pics of Ian "Pete" Geoghegan in his trusty old Mustang at the 1971
round of the Australian Touring Car Championship at Sandown as well as

Here are photographs from the 1981 James Hardie 1000 at Mount Panorama ,
Bathurst.
Images include the aftermath from the crash that prematurely ended The
Great Race. Commodore drivers featured include Peter Brock , Clive
Benson-Brown , Gary Rogers and Fred Gessler. Falcon competitors
include Dick Johnson and Joe Moore. Not to mention "Big Rev Kev"
(Kevin Bartlett) in his spectacular Channel Nine Camaro.
There is also a great pic from Adelaide International Raceway and
interesting aerial photography of Calder Park Raceway from the 1983 Australian
Grand Prix. |

race reports of the race meeting that helped me identify some of the
drivers in these photos.
Drivers included famous names such as Neptune Racing Team members Norm
Beechey , Jim McKeown , Peter Manton. Also Ian Geoghegan , Kevin
Bartlett, Bob Jane
and Terry Allan. Along with less known drivers such as Bruce Hindaugh,
